Sometimes we know something needs to change – we just don’t know where to begin.
It doesn’t matter whether you’re facing a specific challenge(s) or simply looking for more personal growth. The Map for Life provides the guidance to help you understand where you are, what may be holding you back, and how to move forward with practical tools, supportive relationships, faith and purpose.
The different parts of our lives affect one another. Stress can affect our relationships. Hurts from the past can negatively influence how we respond in the present. Unhealthy patterns can affect our emotional health, our families, our faith and the direction of our lives.
That’s why the Map doesn’t focus on just one symptom or one area. It helps people step back, see the bigger picture, and begin making changes that build on one another.
The Map is designed to help growth become more than a temporary response to a problem. It’s where growth becomes a way of life.
Knowing what to do and actually changing our lives are two different things.
The Map is the process that brings together:
You’ll learn practical principles and tools to better understand yourself, your relationships and the patterns that influence your life.
Personal attention and simple worksheets will help you apply, practice and put it all together!
A life-changing and faith-changing experience for deeper wounds, that removes old obstacles and frees up emotional and spiritual capacity to grow further.
Grow alongside people who understand that meaningful change takes time, encouragement and practice.
Explore how faith can become an active part of healing, relationships, growth and everyday life.
Healing and growth rarely happen in isolation. Whenever appropriate, we encourage spouses, family members and other important people to become part of the process. Sometimes the greatest progress happens when the people surrounding us begin learning and growing, too.
Our coaches and mentors also provide a safe place to talk through challenges, celebrate progress and work through the places where change can be difficult.
People come to Mission Addiction from many different backgrounds and circumstances. Their stories are different, but they often discover something in common:
Change they weren’t sure was possible begins to feel possible.
The Map may be worth exploring if you:
Sometimes the hardest part is knowing where to begin. That’s exactly what a map is for.

No. As with all MA events and services, it is open to everyone. Several people have remarked that this is a great program for anyone looking for healing, restoration and transformed lives – and we agree! We feel it is perfect for those learning and growing in their faith or who want to share faith with others. It can also serve as Christian marriage coaching or pre-marital coaching for couples who are trying to communicate and work better together. Teenagers looking for college prep, life skills or life prep and high risk youth would benefit as well.
No. Because we are a nonprofit organization and not a government or state agency, we cannot accept any private insurance or Medicaid.
No. However, our topics, tools, and services match up to the 12-steps and our program follows a similar order. We feel our program goes much deeper emotionally, relationally, and spiritually than a typical 12-step experience.
No, but everyone has, so far. At orientation, we’ll review the entire curriculum and you’ll choose what best suits you and your loved ones on your journey. If there’s a session you feel like you’ve mastered or covered elsewhere, feel free to skip it. We want our sessions to be as productive as possible for you.
Yes, an informal, brief assessment takes place as part of your first coaching session. We use it to measure your progress in various ways.
Our coaching and mentoring service is available to you throughout the program. If you wish to continue coaching afterward, our coaches will still be available to you.
No. We understand how important the right provider can be and will discuss that briefly at orientation. If you already have a good relationship with someone, that’s great! However, our coaching and mentoring helps emphasize and master the materials from the class sessions, so you can “go deeper” as appropriate.
Yes! That’s the idea. In fact, bring them to orientation if possible! They can participate in as many topics as you want, to learn and heal together. They can also take advantage of our coachingand mentoring and other services separately or together with you. We’ll discuss discounted family rates at orientation.

form, and we'll get to
the start of this new
relationship!
